Hey guys, I haven't really done too much over the summer, so I'll quickly update what's happening.

School has started again. I'm a week in right now, and I think this will be the best year so far. This semester, I'm taking Multimedia Arts, and the first project is a stop-motion animation video. I've never really done anything like this before, so it'll be a bit before I finish it and post it. It'll be interesting, though.

Next semester, I'll have Extended Study Drawing and Computer Graphics 1, both of which I'm excited about. I can't wait to continue drawing and start working with all digital art. Multimedia Arts will do that too, of course, but nonetheless I'm excited.

I actually have a semester long study hall this year (first semester), so I plan to work on writing during this time. No promises -- I am taking AP Literature and AP Physics 1 this year, so I may be somewhat overloaded and have to actually use that study hall time.

Speaking of AP work, in case any of you cared, I got a 4 on my APUSH test. So yeah.

Anyway, hopefully you will see some activity from me soonish. I'm really liking this school year so far, even if it has only just begun.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!

My two pieces I've been most proud of so far this year are FINALLY going to go up on WEDNESDAY. Probably.

...hopefully.

I'm so sorry it's taken this long to get them up. They've both been in various competitions and stuff throughout the year, and I really have been wanting to get them up. So yay!

I'll try to get some stuff up over the summer. Main project (that I can think of) is various revised versions of Alone. I'll have a few smaller projects within a few weeks I'm finishing up, getting back, etc.

Last day of school is Thursday! I only have 3 exams to take, so it'll be a low stress week. Speaking of exams, since May 8th and the horror of the AP United States History exam, I've been a lot more relaxed and actually, like, happy. It's amazing to not have to do anything. Crossing my fingers I don't get a summer job until I'm 16, since most places won't hire until then. I won't have much money, but hey. I need a break from stress.

...who am I kidding? I'll be busy as hell this summer.

Also, on the topic of school, if any of the Class of 2015 is reading this, congratulations! I'm gonna miss you guys, have fun in all your future endeavors!

Hey, guys. Since I haven't been saying much recently, or doing much of anything, I'll let you guys know what's been going on and what I have planned for the near future.

As far as art goes (in the near future)...

My self portrait is done. However, it is currently in a competition right now, since my awesome Drawing 2 teacher thought it was good enough to compete with others. In fact, it's the second competition it's been in so far, as the first one just ended in the past week (didn't win, but it was still fun). AS SOON AS I GET IT BACK I will upload it. Unfortunately, I still don't have a high quality scanner or anything, but my mom does have a great new phone do it'll be somewhat better than previous pictures of my bigger art. 

I started a Zentangle over a month ago and finished it a few weeks ago. My teacher is still hanging onto it, idk if it'll go in the art gallery or something. We'll see. I'm guessing I'll get it back sometime next week, though I have no idea. By the way, it's not done in the purist style, but I still love the way it turned out. That's all I'm saying about it, though.

Today, I finished a scribble drawing in art class. It's kinda a self portrait, but I think I got the desired effect going. I'm really proud of it because this is the first full-size piece I've ever done with only scribbling, and I hope you guys like it as well.

In the somewhat more distant future...

Since I've finished my scribbling drawing and I'm fairly far ahead of the rest of the class, I'm going to at least start a new scribbling drawing. This time, I'm going to try using black AND white charcoal on grey paper, so we'll see how this goes. I'm still not ultra-confident in my scribbling skills. I'll only have roughly three hours of class time to do it, though, so whether or not I finish it any time soon is unknown to me. 

Alone (the short story I posted a little while ago) will be worked on this summer. I love the way that rough draft went, but I have a ton of plans for revisions, and it may even undergo some major changes (e.g., I am going to rewrite it in the first person perspective to see if I like how that turns out. This doesn't mean I'll keep it that way, but I'm going to fiddle around with it for a while). ANY comments on it are greatly appreciated. 

While not necessarily my next two projects, I have two subjects for art I will hopefully use soon. One is one of my better friends who I've asked if she'd like to be drawn, and the other is my brother's bunny. Really looking forward to doing both, and I hope all of you are as well.

As far as my life goes (if any of you care)...

School is killing me slowly. I've been stressed out of my mind, and I've had very limited free time as of late. I've started having these little fits of anger or depression recently, which hasn't been helping. I think, for the most part, I'll be busy with stuff until June. Even then, I'm getting a summer job this year and I'll have summer homework to contend with. 

The other main thing is relationships with my friends. I've been getting kinda distant recently, and I apologize for that. I've been secluding myself, and I guess it's for a variety of reasons that I won't list here, but know that I'm going to try to rebuild/build/maintain relationships with friends and those whom I want to befriend. I apologize for my coldness, and ask for forgiveness from those reading this.

Well, that's most of what's been happening recently. Sorry for this massive update, but I thought it was important to let you all know what's been happening recently, and what I'm planning. Thank you all for the support I've been getting. It's what keeps me going from day to day.

Haven't updated this in a while, so I thought I'd let the few that follow me or happen to stumble upon my page be aware of a few things.

I'm taking Drawing 2 this semester, and might upload the first project we did (it was a huge picture that everyone in each class did one square of, like a huge grid drawing except we didn't know what/who we were drawing until we put them all together), but I only did a small part of it, so you'll see it soon if I decide to upload a picture of it.

The first INDIVIDUAL project that I will DEFINITELY upload is currently in progress, and it's a self-portrait. So yay. You'll get to see my wonderful face. Kinda.

That story I uploaded - Alone - I've been thinking about it some recently, and how I'm going to improve it. If you haven't already, READ IT, because I want feedback on how to edit it when summer comes. I'm hoping to really lengthen it and make it more impactful overall.

School is still the most stressful thing of all time. With that being said, I have some homework I have to get done today, so that's why this'll be short.

I think some cool stuff is going to happen soon in my life, so I'm looking forward to that. Thanks for any and all support you've given me, and see ya soon!

Just need to give a few reasons/excuses for my general lack of activity.

School has started back up. I'm taking a ton of hard classes that take up the majority of my free time, in or out of school.

I'm not in an art class at school right now (but I will be next semester). 

I'm in a leadership position in my Boy Scout troop.

I'm the officer of Science club at my school.

Sorry if I don't post any art for a long while, I'll try to get a couple projects I've had on hold done eventually but for right now, well... I have never been so busy in my life.
